Dallas Love Field Airport Train Transfers

Travelers arriving at Dallas Love Field Airport can board a train at the Inwood/Love Field rail station, the closest stop.

You can visit several beautiful museums in Dallas that showcase historical events and the natural world. It would be best not to skip viewing Dallas's attractions, whether you're going there or somewhere close.

Because the summer is Dallas' busiest travel season, you should anticipate more travelers at DAL during the summer. Arrive at Dallas Love Field Airport two to three hours before take-off to prevent delays.

Planning your Dallas Love Field Airport transportation is the most effective way to travel to the airport.

Inwood/Love Field Station

You could take the train nearest to the airport. Route 55 of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Love Link bus connects the Inwood/Love Field rail station and Dallas Love Field airport with the DART Green and Orange rail lines.

Passengers are picked up by the Love Link bus at either ground transportation's distant ends on the lowest level. It takes 9 minutes to get to or from Love Field on Love Link 55.

From Inwood/Love Field Station, next to Dallas Love Field, the DART Rail Green Line, and Orange Line runs daily. Passengers can board or exit bus route 55 at the street level below the rail platform.

The Green Line and Orange Line offer direct service to the Fair Park neighborhood, Irving, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, north-eastern Dallas, Downtown Dallas, and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

To connect to Richardson, Plano, Garland, Rowlett, and southern Dallas, passengers can change to the Red Line or Blue Line in Downtown Dallas.

4:14 a.m. is the time of departure from Inwood/Love Field Station on Monday through Friday. - 1:07 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. – 12:42 a.m.

However, flights from Dallas Love Field depart at 4:23 a.m. from Monday through Friday. - 1:16 a.m. and 4:29 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. – 12:51 a.m.

DART Rail Service starts running at around 5 a.m. and until midnight

Additional DART Rail travel intervals between Inwood/Love Field Station:

  • DFW Airport Station (Orange Line only) - 39 minutes
  • From Southwestern Medical District to Parkland Station - 2 minutes
  • Victory Station (transfer station for Trinity Railway Express) - 8 minutes

Make sure you can wheel or carry all of your bags on your own because the train allows bag-free travel. DART trains or buses have no luggage racks. Thus bags cannot impede aisles. Operators of DART are unable to help with luggage.

Train Ticket

A single ride costs $2.50 from Inwood/Love Field to Dallas Love Field, and cash payments require precise change.

Customers can buy a single ticket with a contactless debit/credit card, Apple, Google, Samsung Pay, or a GoPass Tap card. Multiple mobile tickets can be bought using the GoPass App since various tickets cannot be purchased with a contactless card. Each person must present a card.

All DART buses and rail stations have card readers available.

The Dallas Love Field Airport's northwest Arrivals/Baggage Claim area is the official Love Link Pickup site. While the Love Link Drop-Off point is adjacent to Parking Garage A at the southeast corner of the DAL parking area.

The center part of each train car on DART trains provides platform-level boarding, which is ideal for roll-on luggage, as well as extra floor space.
